11 Days until we leave!
We are having a COMMISSIONING SERVICE on Thursday, March 29 at 7pm, in the RCS gym. We will start the evening with some yummy desserts, followed by testimonies, dramas, and some worship time with the team. This will be a great time to pray for and get to know the team, as we are in our final few days before the big adventure begins! I hope there will be many people out to support our team on Thursday!
Donations are starting to come in. There will be a lot to pack! Speaking of packing... we (the team & parents) will be packing bags on Saturday, March 31, from 9am-12noon, in the RCS library. Please come help us get ready for the trip!
We're just about ready to go. It's crazy to think that in less than 2 weeks, we will be IN Guatemala. VBS material is getting finished up, dramas are getting perfected, donations are coming in, and the level of excitement is going up quickly! It's all coming together! It's so exciting to see everything falling into place!
Thanks for your prayers and support for the team... I think that prayer is something that can easily be taken for granted. So, thank you, thank you, thank you!

17 days until we leave!
Crazy... can you believe that in 18 days, we'll be in Guatemala? I can't believe how fast this came up! This Thursday afternoon, we are having our regular team meeting after school. But, this meeting will be different because we will be starting to learn some Spanish! I am very excited about this! A refresher course on the limited Spanish that I know! Hopefully, this will teach us enough just to simply get by down there.
By the way... the team went 10-pin bowling this past Sunday night. We had a lot of fun... in some cases... way too much fun! The pictures will show that. I'll be posting some pics on here, after I load them onto my computer. So... watch for funny pictures and maybe a funny video or two. Hey... I could put our missions team on YouTube! Haha... or not!

25 days until we leave!
I can't believe that there is only 25 days until we leave for Guatemala. It seems like it's only been a few days since I came out of Mr. Rilling's office, when he told me I was going with the team. Crazy how fast time has gone!
We, myself and the Pritchard's, have split the team into group for VBS and for dramas. The kids seem to be good with their groups and are motivated to get things done for the trip. My group is doing great with the drama, and I'm sure that Mr. & Mrs. Pritchard's groups are awesome too!
There are plans to have a fun night with the team. I think it's important to spend time with the team, outside of school... get to know them better before we leave the country together!
Plans are coming together for the commissioning service. It is going to be on the last Thursday of the month (28th? 29th?). We will be having dessert, then sharing what we will be doing in Guatemala. I'm excited about this. I think there will be a lot of people out to support us!
