Well... it's getting closer to the trip VERY quickly. Mrs. Pritchard and I (Amanda) were just discussing the many things we need to accomplish with the team before this trip to Guatemala happens. Dramas need to be started, VBS material needs to be worked on, verses and songs need to be learned (some in Spanish), donations need to come in, money still needs to be raised, etc, etc. We are realizing that there is WAY too much stuff yet to do.
Soon, we will be working in smaller groups, to get donations from around Regina. Hopefully, businesses around the city will be willing to donate items to bring to Guatemala (such as towels, bed sheets, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoos, soaps, etc).
There is a lot to get done, but watching how the team worked together on Friday (Kindergarten Carnival), I have no worries that this will all get finished before we need it done!

The First Post of MANY
April is quickly approaching... which means Regina Christian School is preparing for another missions trip to Guatemala! This will be RCS's 5th team to go to Guatemala since 2002. Our team, this year, is another group of amazing high school students, who all seem very excited to be travelling the globe to share about the love of Jesus! There will be 14 students, along with 3 leaders, heading down to Guatemala on April 7th, and returning home two weeks later, on April 21st.While we are in Guatemala, our team will be participating in a VBS program, street ministry and some construction on a school that was started during past trips. I am so excited about sharing Christ’s love with the Guatemalan children. This is a desire God has firmly planted in my heart.
I am incredibly excited about this trip. I know God has started working in the hearts of the team going this year. They are awesome students and I feel privileged to join them on this missions trip. I am requesting that you pray for the team as we prepare for this trip. Please pray, that as a team, we would begin to develop a strong sense of unity, found in Christ alone. Also, please pray for the Guatemalan people who we will be working with and talking to, that their hearts and ears may be opened to the message of Christ’s love that we bring them. Most importantly, please pray while we are in Guatemala, doing Christ’s work, as there may be some challenges and difficulties we need to overcome. Without your prayers, we would be going to Guatemala on our own strengths, not on Christ’s. He is the reason for this trip, the only purpose!
